Sloan-Kettering Sues Amgen Over Royalties
December 19, 2007--Sloan-Kettering Institute for Cancer Research has sued Amgen for breach of contract, alleging that Amgen underpaid certain royalties by more than $72 million. The institute said that while Amgen had continued to pay the royalties on the sale of its drugs Neupogen (filgrastim) and Neulasta (pegfilgrastim), it had made some deductions not permitted under their license agreement.
